The Leading Innovators

Let's see who are the most innovative industries and countries in the new millenia. I mean, there won't be any surprises at the top. The most noteworthy one is the absence of China, mainly because "if focuses on the internal market at first". Oh, come on! Will they ever open themselves fully to embrace the rest of the world? The government can't keep them out of the loop like this forever. Or can it? That's for a different type of post and blog altogeher so I'll stop here.

Dino-Chicken? Why not!

This made me laugh so hard! Then again, it might prove to work, so my laughter could be premature :D

All I can say is, the people over @LiveScience thought about something doable with today's scientific knowledge. And the answer is the Dino-chicken! In post-modern science, chicken eats you!

Oh, you know what would be really cool? If they would use an ostrige or an emu, this way the chances of mayhem ensuig are highly increased. ;)

Look closely and you'll find an easter egg in the picture.

Can science turn back the clock on evolution to make a chicken into a dinosaur? Find out in this incredible LiveScience infographic.

The History of Advertising

Hello people!

Guess this web 2.0 thing doesn't need too much time to recharge. A couple of days after Xmas and here we are back on the saddle, doing what we do best, spread information.

I'm going to let you enjoy a cool infograph made by the nice folks over @Infolinks that takes us through the history of advertising, from its humble beginning and reaching out to more modern times, like, for instance the Old Spice campaign that made Isaiah Mustafa a very known guy on the interwebs and not only.

So, ladies and gents, I'll let you savour the latest informational graphic I found.

Cheers!

An Interesting Question...

Is your job killing you? Not unless you have a killer job! (sic).

You know, like dictator (2011 has been a terrible year for them) and such. ;)

But this is a good question to ask oneself. Your job might not be the main reason for your death (not all the time anyways) but it has its fair share of contribution. The important thing is to be able to distance yourself from all the petty stuff that goes on in the workplace and concentrate only on the essential.

The following infograph shows some differences between men and women and the way they are affected by their jobs.

Have fun and a safe holiday season!!!

Secular Greetings to all!

You need to invest in an innovation department. A place where you can find and foster new ideas that might save you money or bring you an unexpected breakthrough that will make your company and subsequently your career leap forward.

Below you can find an interesting inforgraph that presents us some of the many ways in which you can help your company become more innovative.

What Exactly Does the Higgs Boson?

Now that's the trillion dollar question! Or more. Maybe we can't even quantify it in money.

The Higgs boson, ever since its discovery by Peter Higgs, has haunted the physics world and not only, because the implications of its discovery vye from the world of physics and reach into the domain of spirituality (a favourite subject of mine). If proven to exist, the Higgs boson will confirm the big bang theory (not the famed TV series, the real thing) and therefore disprove the existence of a creator. Hence, its nickname, "the god particle". This scares the hell out of all believers. Probably others too.

Below you can find an infograph that explains in layman terms what is the Higgs boson and what does it do. Very interesting stuff, I must say. And funny. :)

Physicists have searched for it for years, but what is the Higgs boson supposed to do, exactly? A LiveScience infographic explains.

Some Festive Frenzy

Continuing with the Christmasy posts. So quick, yes, because information is spreading so fast.

This is a graph showing us the most sought after tech products since 2005 until present. Pretty interesting I have to say. Too bad they don't have the 2012 product listed as well, that way I could've prepared in time for next year's holiday shopping carnage :D
